Therapy is a highly collaborative process.
We will work together to identify a unique treatment plan. Sessions are typically once per week and are approximately 50 minutes. The frequency and duration of therapy may vary and will depend largely on your treatment goals and progress. Many concerns are readily resolved with short-term solution focused therapy, while other chronic or more complex concerns may require a long-term commitment before improvement is realized.
I offer a variety of services based upon my client’s unique circumstances.
Individual Counseling
I provide a caring and confidential environment for clients to safely express their feelings, gain mental clarity, improve well-being, and increase productivity. I actively work with clients to access tools needed to better manage depression, anxiety, grief, career challenges, parenting problems, academic difficulties, LGBTQ+ issues and more. My therapy is client-centered and customized to fit each person’s specific goals.
Couples & Premarital Counseling
There is no such thing as a perfect couple. Every relationship has difficulties from time-to-time and can benefit from a counseling tune-up. Engaging in couples therapy does not mean your relationship is bad, but that you want it to be the greatest. Daily stressors break down respectful communication which often leads to a loss of connectedness and intimacy. Couples can get stuck in a never-ending cycle of arguments (same fight, different day). I assist couples in realizing that the fight about the dishes is rarely about the dishes. I identify problematic response styles and increase awareness of underlying issues regarding arguments in order transform conflicts into opportunities for healing and growth.

Family Therapy
When was the last time you had a Family Meeting or felt you were all on the same page? Family Therapy is helpful in addressing the myriad of concerns than can arise in our modern families, such as divorce, blended-family issues, social media use, academic/behavioral problems, LGBTQ+ concerns and more. I will assess the entire family’s level of functioning, not just the individual. I strive to help each member feel heard and respected so the family may work more harmoniously towards a common goal.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
ART is an evidence-based eye-movement therapy used to treat anxiety/panic, depression, phobias, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, physical and sexual abuse, break-ups, infidelity and grief. ART changes the way negative images of an upsetting event are stored in the brain. As a result, clients may no longer feel “stuck” and can move towards greater healing and understanding. Clients who participate in ART often find they experience results more immediately as compared to other therapies alone (usually 1 to 5 sessions).
